Euro Disney Resort Report by Peter Schouten

Adventureland

A land of pirates and tropical food. The entrance is the Adventure Bazar, with many shops and props from the Arabian Nights.

Adventure Isle

Caves with traps and secrets, for kids.

Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse

200 tons of glass fiber and steel make up this tree. There are 800 props, among which a 1800 pound anchor. The branches and leaves were made by the Dutch TV production facilitation company NOB

Pirates of the Caribbean

After a long walk down, you arrive at the center of a damp cave, where pirates from the second half of the seventeenth century live. The attraction is filled with robots, a.o. two robots that have a coordinated fight. The number of details is large, even on the ceiling there are shadows that add humor. An attraction to do twice. The restaurant The Blue Lagoon is located in the first corner of the river.

Aladdin Walk-through

In november 1993 this Walk-through saw the light. Scenes from the 1992 movie are presented behind glass accompanied by an appropriate song.

Indiana Jones et le temple du péril, une aventure de Disney et George Lucas

This attraction was opened in August 1993. It is the Disney parks first rollercoaster, and contains a small looping. After the opening an accident occurred; 8 people were wounded (but not severely). The attraction was closed temporarily and was re-opened in November. George Lucas was there. Because of the limited capacity it is a slow moving waiting area, but if you're not used to rollercoasters you can test yourself, because Space Mountain is much heavier.
